Against continuing Price Rise and for Right to Food, the Left Parties conducted a Massive Joint Protest Rally before Parliament today 12.03.2010
Thousands of Workers, Peasants and Women took part in the Protest Rally and demanded universal Ration for all citizens and release of stockpiled wheat and rice from FCI Godowns for bringing down the prices.
The Left Members of Parliament too staged a walk out and joined the rally.
The Left Parties declared in the Rally that in the month of April just before the Parliament takes up the voting on budget, lakhs of workers and peasants and women will stage satyagraha all over the country and court arrest in protest against the price rise and budgetary hike of petrol, diesel etc.
