Dear Comrades!

 

NFPE Delegation met the DDG [Establishment] and requested early action for refixation of wages on the basis of the 6th CPC revised wages for Paid Substitutes, RRR Candidates and Part Time, Contingent. The issue is being processed. The copy of the letter is reproduced below:

Sub: Fixation of wages based on revised Pay Structure to Paid Substitutes, RRR Candidates and Part time contingent etc - Issue of orders – reg.

Sir,

 

This Federation once again urges upon you to cause to expedite issue of orders for fixation of wages on the basis of the Revised Pay Structure for the following categories of staff w.e.f. 1.1.2006 to enable these downtrodden sections also can draw monetary benefit during the ongoing festival season.

 

1. Paid Substitutes: Large number of GDS officials and other substitutes are being engaged in the leave vacancies of Postmen, Mailguard and Group D by the Department. Their daily wages are to be revised w.e.f. 1.1.2006. It is requested that while doing so the element of HRA and Transport Allowance also be included as per the Judgment of Honourable Madras High Court and in tune with the Directorate instructions No.1-1/2007-PAP dated -8-2007 to Chief Postmaster General Tamilnadu Circle.

 

2. RRR Candidates: RRR Candidates are those who were recruited under compassionate grounds and are being utilised in leave vacancies of PA/SA, Postmen/Mailguard and Group D after completion of required training. They are paid @ minimum level of scale of respective cadre. Consequent on implementation of Revised Pay Structure their wages also require to be re-fixed accordingly at the lowest level of respective Revised Pay Structure and arrears paid w.e.f. 1.1.2006.

 

3. Part Time / Contingent: Wages of Part time casual labourers and contingent paid also to be re-fixed in accordance with the Revised Pay Structure w.e.f. 1.1.2006 to facilitate drawal of due arrears.

 

Early orders would help these most downtrodden sections also to receive some monetary benefits to meet their festival expenditure. This Federation would highly appreciate your favourable action.
